The following information and pictures will give you an idea of how Fred has matured over the years.  Unfortunately I lost most of his baby pictures when my computer crashed but I think I have made up for it with more recent pictures of him.   Follow along as I go through his life starting as a weanling and continuing to  present time.

These pictures were taken of Fred when he was about 2 months old and still on his recipient mother.  He was the last foal of Miss Bunny Tardee and we had to do an embryo transfer to get him.  You can see from these pictures that even at a very young age he had a lot of width and muscle.  He was a big baby.

These pictures were taken in the fall of the year and he was weaned at this time.

Fred (Classically) at exactly one year of age.  When he was a late weanling we sent him to Stacie Riehl in Shiocton, Wisconsin.   She owns Legacy Performance Horses and we wanted him to be handled and learn his manners.  I went to her training center and took these pictures of Fred when he was exactly one year old.    You can see the correct structure of his body and I love the fact that he has always grown level.

Fred, April of his yearling year.   His neck had really lengthened by then and even though he still had his winter hair, you could still see the muscle on him.  He was also starting to get his golden summer color.

Mike and I decided that we should send Fred (Classically) to Donna Preskitt who owns the 5 W Ranch in Alabama when he was a coming two year old. Fred was so good legged yet so big we didn't want to do anything to hurt his legs.  Donna has the underwater treadmill.  I took these pictures of him in  August and believe me, it was hot in Alabama.  At that time he stood 16 hands and was still very balanced and good legged.  David Silva started him under saddle while he was there.  As you can see on the pictures he was wringing wet from the heat.

As a three year old we moved Fred (Classically) to a great friend's place in Mississippi.  Monte May spent the summer riding him and taking him to ropings and just letting him be a horse.   His daughter, Tyler even rode him on trail rides.  I think it was great for his mind.  Even though he didn't look like a "fat halter horse" he had the education that I think a stallion should have and he stayed sound through everything.  Two of these pictures were taken in May  and Mike and I went to Mississippi in August when it was very hot and I took the other pictures.  As you can see, at that time  he was sweating and bleached from the sun.

We brought Fred "home" to Wisconsin in 2012.  It was good to have him  back where I could enjoy him and watch him as he matured.   It also gave me an opportunity to take many pictures of him.  The following photos will follow him though that time up to the present time.  It amazes me how much he changes but still keeps his strong back, long neck and body.  I guess the fact that he continues to develop more muscle should not surprise me as he is bred to  have muscle.  The combination of Kids Classic Style and Miss Bunny Tardee could not produce anything but that.   I hope you enjoy seeing the changes in him.   His color  is a gorgeous golden palomino in the spring and summer and then when he starts growing his winter hair, he turns into a lighter shade with dapples all over his body.  His mane and tail remain white at all times.
